A Greeting to the Orange Movement by RilkeWait… this tastes good….already it’s in pursuit
Only a little music, a stamping, a hum-
Maidens, you warm ones, maidens, you mute and dumb
Dance the taste of the experienced fruit!
Dance the orange. Who can forget it,
How, drowning in itself, it grew
Against its being-sweet. You possessed it.
It has been deliciously converted into you.
Dance the orange. The warmer landscape.
Throw it from you. That the ripeness shine
In the breezes of home! Aglow, disclosing
Aroma on aroma. Create the kin-shape
With the pure, the reluctant rine*
With the juice which fills the fortunate thing!
