Congratulation to Kuwait

First step to fight corruption is over and we got the Five.
It was a hard labor, but Kuwait finally won.
Thanks to “Shabaab Elyasameen” , thanks to Orangina.
Thanks to my fellow blog buddies and to all who stood up to this cause from writers, MP’s and others.
Thanks to Abu Rakan.
And special thanks to
SS; the Monday diwaniyah of the Orange.
It’s a real call for celebration.

Yet, I feel sad; my feelings are distorted with the escalating events in Lebanon.
With the frightened children clinging to their parents every time a bomb goes out.
With mothers crying over the remains of their children.
With 3omar, Riz and Samer stuck to TV in the shelter of their homes singing the song of sudden death.
With my own countrymen blindly supporting destruction and rape of the land of beauty in search of mirage.
How can I celebrate with a laden heart?
When will this nightmare be over?
Wain ra7 Shadi?

Bas ma3alaih, one thing at a time, and if we all work together we’ll get a lot done. Off course corruption is not easy to fight, nor we’re claiming to be able to reach an ideal, corruption free society, but any effort in the right direction will always be to the benefit of our country, wi allah yi3eenah.

"With my own countrymen blindly supporting destruction and rape of the land of beauty in search of mirage."

should be:

With my own countrymen blindly supporting the resistance to the destruction and rape of the land of the free and the willing.

And you ask when will this nightmare be over, and I will disregard the rhetorical nature of the question and say:

when the US along with the UK do not block a call for immediate halt from the ever so precious UN. You want "peace" in the sense of temporary-cease fire? There you have it, plead to the misters.

They see the numbers, 300+ civilians?
What is it now, seven days?
How is this going to "take out" or "deliver a blow" to 7izballah?

If they want me to believe that 7izballah is a terrorist organization that does not care for lebanon; then why would they hit lebanon and its people and its buildings and its infrastructure?

If they want me to believe that 7izballah does not care for all that because of what they are doing, then why give Israel another seven days AT LEAST to keep raping and destructing Lebanon?
Don't they want me to believe that 7izballah wouldn't care? So why do it?

Create tension and unrest towards them is what. And they are succeeding in doing that in the arab world more so than in any place in the world I would imagine.

The time to speak about the inexcusable attack from the Israeli side on Lebanon and whether or not 7izballah have committed "this certain thing" that has sprung such an inexcusable attack is a time long gone.
Gone with the second Bush has labelled this as "defence" - the only one, it seems, who sees it as such.

Now is a time where we ask, IF we maintain our self respect that is, why is it that the US is excusing STILL the Israelis to continue doing this for long enough now to show without doubt (statistically) that it is not working?

More and more lebanese civilians are being slaughtered, and more and more Israeli SOLDIERS are being killed.

You say all 7izballah has to do is give up the prisoners?
Okay .. they will do that once Israel halts its attacks on the Lebanese PEOPLE and sit down and negotiate the swap.

Aren't 7izballah the maniacs? Sure, let Israel be the "bigger man".

What could possibly happen to force 7izballah to disarm now?
The statistics talk for themselves.

Every single confrontation soldier to resistance, soldiers from the Israeli side get butchered and retreat.
They want to bomb headquarters of 7izballa in the capital or something?
What's that gonna do, if the people in that "organization" are NOT touched yet?
Blow up some phones and printers?

We all grieve now, as much as we were all devastated when the strikes began on Lebanon unjustifyingly.

Now is a time not to cross accusations like bored folk; now we have to come up to speed with the decisions being made as opposed to the NUMBERS that speak for themselves.

Please, I urge you to answer my questions and not disregard them. We'll pick it up from there.

What questions? I do not see any questions in your comment, I only see accusations. When people protested against the war in Lebanon and carried Nasrullah pictures and 7izbullah flags, burned American and Israeli flags, they only added ammunition to the already burning fire. They were asking for war. 7izbullah, Iran and Syria are as guilty as Israel in this war, why didn’t they burn all their flags as well? Or why burn flags in the first place? And since when we Kuwaitis do that? Why not just have peace demonstrations asking all to take their filthy hands off of Lebanon? Our region has gone through enough wars, who will pay for the consequences except us? Lebanon is not the only one who’s paying for this war although it is ones who’s paying the most. We are all paying. Why not spend our money building for the living instead of spending it on the dead, the wounded and on rebuilding? This is in addition to the dear price that we have to pay for loosing loved ones. And what if this war escalated to swallow the whole region! I wonder if the ones who cheered for Nasrullah ever thought of that!!

ayya,
what accusations?

you're telling me the US did not block the UN's decision to go into lebanon and halt the war?

you're telling me the US did not give israel a whole week?

if these are accusations, then i urge you to please disregard all the show and come up to speed with the decisions being made (or not made actually) to resolve this issue

if you and i agree that lebanon is being destructed, and 7ezballah's numbers are not shrinking .. then why not put an end to it, i ask?

you said:
"7izbulla, iran and syria as guilty as israel in this war"

okay, but i find it amusing that u missed out the most important party which is making this war go on ..

3:56 PM
Blogger AyyA said...

Back again to accusation, US did this and US did that, resolving this issue is in the hands of 7izbullah and Israel, not me, you or US. And I’m asking all who have involved themselves in this issue to take their hands off, regardless who it is. And if you understand Farsi; what I’m saying is: tof ba ie la3nat bi o.
Lebanon is a sovereign state with a legitimate government, and we should back up its government and its people and not any other. And whoever wants to fight Israel let them do it from their own land without using Lebanese flesh and gaining heroism on the remains of Lebanon which did not choose this war.

i'm not exactly sure why you keep using the word "accusations" when it's a decision known to everyone and has been all over the place, i.e. it is not allegedly the case, it is without doubt the case.
i ask you this: do you or do you not follow this matter with as much objectivity you can muster after our shared enormous sorrow for Lebanon and the overwhelming subjectivity regardless of motivation?

quote:
The Bush administration, backed by Britain, has blocked efforts for an immediate halt to the fighting initiated at the UN security council
unquote

if they send in the UN, even into Israel, then Israel would have no reason to fire - i.e. stop the attack on Lebanon
this isn't me talking, this is Blair talking (watched it on BBC here, they were in st. petersburg - if you want i can try to find you the exact quote if you dont trust me or something given that you keep saying im accusing) i hope you watched this

anyway as a result, 7izballah will have no reason to continue firing at Israel either

and 7izballah can't afford to do so (continue attack if UN is in Israel), as i'm sure you can agree, because then it would jeopardize any future diplomatic objectivity from the EU

-

quote:
""It's clear the Americans have given the Israelis the green light. They [the Israeli attacks] will be allowed to go on longer, perhaps for another week," a senior European official said yesterday."

-

it is quite interesting that you say it is only in the hands of 7izballah to lay down, when PM Senioura is pleading for the UN to come in and put an end to the attack on Lebanon

well, the US, primarily, just blocked the UN from going in .. ?
would it be an accusation to say the US now is ignoring the plea of the lebanese PM ?
Rice isnt making the trip to the region for an upcoming 6 days .. while it is not exactly a secret that if she goes there she will put an end to the viscous attacks

i thought we all agreed that Lebanon is a sovereign state .. so why shouldnt the US comply to its "official sovereign" plea?

Senioura knows it will stop the attacks from both sides, I know it, you know it, Bush knows it, Blair knows it .. WHO DOESNT KNOW IT? and yet, it's being blocked and postponed

why? to teach iran and syria a lesson?
on whose expense, Mr Bush? The Lebanese civilians?

yes, lebanon and the lebanese, including 7izballa who r lebanese, did not choose this war..
theyre not the ones with the planes that fire 23 tons of missiles in one strike on the Lebanese

you say:
Lebanon is a sovereign state with a legitimate government, and we should back up its government

^ i know and i agree .. and "backing up the government" would be listening to the call of the government, namely the PM

- no, i dont speak/understand Farsi .. what does that mean?
