Cries of Anger

Sirens, screams, black smoke, burns
Bodies scattering like droplets of rain
The right to live is in vain
Why?

Featureless buildings amidst
Flames licking through the rubbles
People running, people crippled
Why?

Elderly forced to wander
Away from villages and yonder
Away from danger to more danger
Why?

Pinned families in houses
Once beloved, now just ….faceless
A hostage of the remote controllers
Why?

Driving through gray dawns
Into the mouth of Armageddon
Where a mere second determines fate
Why?

A face of a woman in terror
Pleading to stop the war
Anxious eyes screaming horror
Why?

Faces urging for aids
Reporters making their life trade
Some genuine, some fanning the flames

Why?

Childhood innocence on faces aged
When using human shields enraged
Ferociousness, hate and more carnage
Why?

Suited bodies out of choppers
Summits, speeches, oh..whatever
All but failing endeavors
Why?

Religious leaders in comfort zones
Reeking arrogance in their high domes
Puking - Hell must go on
Why?

For fake legacies!
Or mere prejudices!
Or for humanity that lost its toll
And why?

Hues and cries, raising flags
Hues and cries, burning flags
A propaganda for annihilation
Why?

Someone help me understand
Who put God in a trash can?
And on His name he dared to place
Death commands
And why?

Dear Ayya

We need a consortium of the best psychiatrics of the world to try & explain what sick minds would justify such brutality … and they will come up with the following conclusion:

Why???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY?!

because underneath the flesh and blood is a machine wanting to get more money and more power no matter how many dead bodies it would bury...

what is happening reminds me of an old novel i read "lord of the flies"...

“lord of the flies is a thought-provoking novel authored by william golding in 1954. the book describes in detail the horrific exploits of a band of young children who make a striking transition from civilized to barbaric. lord of the flies commands a pessimistic outlook that seems to show that man is inherently tied to society, and without it, we would likely return to savagery.”

if savages got lose, we will be condemned for the rest of our life...
however,
aren’t they lose already!

There will always be wars
That’s something we can not control
The question is how can we protect the innocent from getting killed for the sake of making ... a statement.

I was touched by your poem

Thank you all for your comments, this post was supposed to be- as the title indicates- cries of anger. I could not hold it in anymore, so I’m letting out, you can do the same, let out your anger, express yourself, in this chaos, there is no room for diplomacy.

I agree; politics sucks yet we need it, but democracy without acknowledging basic human rights is pure hell. In other words democracy and religion do not go hand-in-hand. Christianity had its share in medieval ages and now Islam, look at the Islamic countries that tried to apply democracy; it all failed.

How true, and how sad

Monsters have been loose ever since religion got to brainwash the minds. This brings to mind the slogan of “ bilroo7, bildam nafdeek ya… whatever”, is the soul so cheap? Is blood so cheap? If allah was to speak He would roar that a drop of blood is more precious than Kaaba.
I love your name btw, I wish all have the guts to take off the old me and wear the new me.

Alia
Hell to my understanding is not burning in fire till eternity; physical torture is bearable in comparison to psychological ailment, hell is an eternal nightmare. And aren’t we forever living this nightmare? Look at the Islamic history, when did we ever not have wars? When will we ever think of religion as a separate issue between man and God and isolate it from politics and state? Will this day ever come?

JB
What can be done sweetie. If no one considers blood to be precious, and are blind with their prejudice, all they can do, or we can do is fight and take sides. How more pathetic this can get?

Greed, stupidity, barbarism is controlling human minds. If I had to choose between saving my son and saving my dignity, which path would I take? Do all think in this mentality? Or dead bodies are all just pictures on TV and the Net and they do not concern me? The sad thing is that our minds are getting used to these pictures, some of us are not moved anymore.
Will we ever get civilized?

We all return to our inner savage beings, slaughtering one another has always been a part of our 'humanity'.

Sad.

Ah, betrayal; that old enemy. I guess most of us need a trauma to be able to see things with different perspective. I’m glad you made it through positively though; bad experiences surly made you stronger.

If you believe in evolution, then the most refined humanity would only survive, savages would diminish with time. I know this is a far-fetched wish, but at least it carries hope.

Darwin was the first to announce this theory, yet he was not able to prove it, now we know that science had proved his theory, so why shouldn’t I believe in it? btw; I have a great documentary on that if you care to know more, I can lend you the DVD’s.

Luloo
That’s because you feel what I feel dear.
