Dubai- allah yedeemha min ni3ma

Just got back from Dubai, my last visit was five years back and what a change, I was so impressed. Construction is booming, I hardly recognized the city. It was my first time to attend the World Cup Horse Races in Dubai. And what astounded me the most is seeing Mohammad Almaktoom wandering around greeting people with hardly any bodyguard. Allah la yegair 3alaihom, they deserve the best. Dubai is truly the paradise of the gulf; let the pictures do the talking.

Honestly; I did not expect it to be so beautiful. Lots of places to go to and spend your time. It is also good to know some people who live there so they can tell you where the attraction each night is. But it was very expensive as well, I mean if you want to spend a good time you have to be loaded.
Missed you too sweetie. :*

The Truth
You know what? I noticed that the width of the steps of the escalators in Dubai airport were much wider than the ones we have in Kuwait. A wheeled hand back can rest easily on the steps without causing the hand bag to tilt and hang between two steps. I usually have my laptop over the hand bag in short trips and you can imagine what a disaster I go through whenever I use the escalator. I know you might think that this is trivial. But it’s these small details that says a lot about the architecture whether it is genuine or commercial (fake). It also talks in general about the country. Wi lilasaf; most of our buildings nowadays are fake; over budgeted and under constructed. I tell you what I really felt although I did not want to say it; Emiraties invest in their country and want to see it prosper. Kuwaitis, unfortunately want to get the most fortune (ye7elboonha) and flee out. That should give you a glimpse of what I think about the Silk City; it’s a dream for certain individuals to make a fortune. I hope I am wrong.
